2027 Graduate Electronic Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Global Innovation & Technology Centre, Melbourn, Cambridge, United Kingdom. The role is office- and workshop-based and starts in Autumn 2027.

Salary: £31,000 per year, plus a £3,500 transport allowance.

What you will do

• Design, simulate, prototype, test, and transfer electronic systems through the product development lifecycle.
• Develop electronic circuits, embedded hardware, digital systems, and communication technologies.
• Contribute to projects such as FPGA-based cybersecurity, biomedical instrumentation, wireless mesh networking, RF applications, and motion control systems.
• Build and test prototypes in workshops and support transition to volume manufacture.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, clients, and academic institutions across varied industry sectors.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject such as Physics or Biomedical Engineering, either completed or in progress.
• Knowledge or interest in electronic circuit design, digital electronics, DSP, FPGA, microcontrollers, microprocessors, embedded hardware, embedded software in C, power electronics, RF electronics, or communication systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
• Collaborative, curious, reliable, and professional approach to working with colleagues and clients.
• Product design experience is desirable.
