Vietnamese Linguist

What you will do

• Perform Vietnamese copy-editing and on-demand translation for assigned projects and accounts.
• Manage glossaries, style guides, work instructions, and other language materials.
• Coordinate with freelancers, agencies, clients, internal teams, and external partners on linguistic matters.
• Resolve terminology and project-related queries and support lead activities.
• Test and qualify freelancers and vendors, and train internal linguists and external partners.
• Improve localization workflows while meeting productivity, delivery, quality, and team objectives.

Requirements

• University degree in translation, applied languages, or linguistic studies, or equivalent translation experience.
• Native fluency in Vietnamese and fluent written and spoken English.
• At least 4 years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing, including 2 years of review experience.
• Thorough understanding of localization processes and experience with CAT tools such as XTM or SDL Studio, plus issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong communication, terminology, problem-solving, feedback, presentation, and training skills.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and within a virtual team.
