Localisation Quality Coordinator (Generative AI)

Location: Remote; based in an Asian timezone, with locations listed as Singapore, China, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and South Korea

What you will do

• Collaborate with Localisation Managers and Project Managers to assess risks, create quality plans, and review their effectiveness.
• Analyse and present quality performance reports, identify risks, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Promote consistent quality standards and processes across localisation projects and languages.
• Develop and deliver training and guidance for internal linguists, external vendors, and stakeholders.
• Validate and finalise quality evaluations, support linguistic arbitration, and provide actionable feedback to external resources.
• Improve quality tools and workflows, conduct root cause analysis, support linguist onboarding, and use Gemini for data analysis and quality reporting.

Requirements

• Ability to work from an Asian timezone and collaborate closely with regional teams and vendors.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related localisation role.
• Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Excellent English proficiency; native-level Korean, Japanese, or Chinese is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and feedback skills, with experience working in distributed multicultural teams.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, familiarity with MQM and translation quality evaluation systems, CAT tools, localisation QA processes, and hands-on use of Gemini or other generative AI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with linguistic arbitration or professional dispute resolution.
• Familiarity with audio localisation processes.
