Senior NPD Technologist (Sports Nutrition)

Location: Manchester, UK; onsite role

What you will do

• Lead formulation development for sports nutrition products and support market-leading product launches.
• Coordinate product samples, tasting sessions, sensory reviews and documented feedback.
• Translate consumer needs, market trends, competitor activity and business priorities into product concepts and development briefs.
• Manage end-to-end NPD projects, including prioritisation, communication and risk management.
• Coordinate stakeholders across brand, commercial, quality, regulatory, technical, procurement, operations and regional teams.
• Work with suppliers, manufacturers, flavour houses and other external development partners, while mentoring junior technologists.

Requirements

• Degree in sports nutrition, food science or an equivalent subject.
• 3–5 years of experience in an R&D or NPD function.
• Experience developing and improving formulations, including sensory evaluation skills.
• Understanding of the full product development lifecycle from opportunity identification through launch and post-launch review.
• Strong project management, communication, commercial and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers or external development partners is essential.
