Senior Hygiene Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Glenbervie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, United Kingdom. The role is permanent and operates mainly during normal office hours, with flexibility required to support site hygiene teams across different shifts.

What you will do

• Provide senior leadership, coaching and support to site Hygiene Managers across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Develop and implement common hygiene standards, cleaning routines, escalation processes and improvement plans.
• Act as the subject matter expert for hygiene in ready-to-eat, high-care and high-risk manufacturing environments.
• Develop and review KPIs covering cleaning effectiveness, audit performance, corrective action closure and operational compliance.
• Use audit findings, verification results and non-conformance trends to identify risks and drive measurable, sustainable improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technical, Quality, Engineering, Production and Continuous Improvement teams on audits, customer visits and cross-site projects.

Requirements

• Significant hygiene experience in food manufacturing, ideally in ready-to-eat, chilled, high-care or high-risk environments.
• Previous experience leading hygiene teams, Hygiene Managers or cross-functional improvement activity across departments or sites.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene controls, cleaning validation and verification, food safety systems, customer standards, audit requirements and relevant legislation.
• Experience using KPIs and performance data to identify trends, manage risk and drive measurable improvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, planning and communication skills, with the ability to challenge established practices constructively.
• Must have the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
