Staff+ Software Engineer, Enterprise (Full Stack)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid work with staff expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $405,000–$485,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the technical design and delivery of enterprise-facing products across the full stack, including admin consoles, governance surfaces, APIs, and data models.
• Partner with product, design, and go-to-market teams to turn enterprise workflows into shipped products.
• Set technical direction and standards for architecture, code quality, and development practices.
• Work directly with enterprise customers, administrators, and sales to translate customer needs into engineering priorities.
• Build infrastructure and product primitives that help large organizations deploy, govern, and use Claude at scale.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through influence and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years at Staff or an equivalent technical leadership level.
• Experience leading the design and delivery of complex customer-facing products across the full stack.
• Experience building enterprise SaaS products and understanding the needs of IT administrators, security reviewers, and procurement teams.
• Ability to work directly with enterprise customers and translate findings into technical decisions.
• Experience building products from 0 to 1 and setting technical direction in fast-moving environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise identity, permissions, and administration surfaces such as SSO, SCIM, RBAC, audit, usage, and spend visibility.
• Experience building AI products and turning model capabilities into useful applications.
• Startup founder or early-stage employee experience.
