Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Jose, United States (Santana Row). Relocation support is available for candidates moving to San Jose.

Salary: $150,000–$400,000+ annually, plus significant equity.

What you will do

• Embed with the production team to identify high-leverage bottlenecks and own solutions from concept through daily engineering use.
• Build and deploy LLM agents integrated into engineering workflows through tool-calling and MCP.
• Develop full-stack internal products, including interfaces, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Design evaluations, measure tool effectiveness, and track adoption.
• Work directly with the founders on time-sensitive, business-critical projects across the company.

Requirements

• 1–5+ years of experience building and shipping software end to end.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills and the ability to deliver working products.
• Experience building LLM agents or AI tooling used by real users, including context engineering, tool integration, evaluations, and failure analysis.
• Strong product sense, design judgment, attention to detail, and ownership of ambiguous problems.
• Willingness to work fully in person and contribute across engineering and research disciplines.
• Comfort working in a demanding environment that is not limited to a traditional 9-to-5 schedule.

Nice to have

• Exposure to chip development, kernels, hardware, or manufacturing.
• Infrastructure, data engineering, or DevOps experience.
• Experience with fine-tuning, RAG over proprietary technical data, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Startup experience, especially in a hypergrowth environment.
