Construction Manager, Senior (Electric T&D)

Location: Stockton, California, US; onsite. Approximately 50% travel with occasional overnight stays.

Salary: $100,000–$161,000 per year, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage construction and improvement projects across the Electric T&D system.
• Develop project scopes, job packages, construction estimates, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, supervisors, contractors, inspectors, municipalities, and governing agencies.
• Lead job walks, design reviews, construction kickoffs, weekly progress meetings, and field communication.
• Oversee contractor safety plans, environmental and land-permit conditions, regulatory compliance, billing, change orders, and project closeout.
• Act as Incident Commander and Lead PG&E Representative in the field when designated, and mentor Associate and Career-level employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or construction; 7 years preferred.
• Knowledge of Electric T&D construction procedures, standards, work methods, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with contract administration, project scheduling, cost accounting, project inspection, and quality control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, communicate construction requirements, and achieve cooperation across project stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in Stockton, California, and travel approximately 50% with occasional overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P3/P5/P6 and Primavera UNIFIER or similar software.
• Familiarity with construction contracting firms and California and Federal regulatory requirements, including FERC.
