Senior Specialist, Major Projects – Construction Project Management Support

Location: Hybrid role based in Pomona, California; employees are required to work and reside in California. The position requires reporting to an SCE facility on set days, remote work on remaining days, and up to 10% travel across the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $101,900–$152,800 per year

What you will do

• Support pre-construction and construction planning for electric transmission and substation projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams of 30 or more members across licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Track project schedules, budgets, metrics, milestones, progress reports, risks, and issues.
• Maintain sophisticated project schedules in Microsoft Project and manage project documentation, version control, distribution, and access.
• Support project gates, management reviews, executive presentations, change orders, construction modifications, drawings, submittals, and safety plans.
• Apply project procedures, construction codes, safety protocols, and change management practices while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least five years of project support experience.
• Experience with project coordination, meeting facilitation, stakeholder communication, and action item management.
• Advanced experience supporting reporting, schedules, costs, and project controls.
• Ability to support multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, management, finance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• PMP or CAPM certification and experience with large capital utility construction projects are preferred.
