Manager I Preconstruction - Major Project Groups (Renewable Energy)

Location: Avon, Minnesota, United States; some travel is required.

Salary: $121,680–$176,436 per year, determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead preconstruction and estimating teams through bidding procedures, bid reviews, technical compliance, and proposal preparation.
• Coordinate the transition of awarded projects from estimating to construction operations.
• Develop and improve preconstruction processes, systems, department strategy, and project review documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, engineers, and client contract negotiations.
• Review drawings and specifications, support design decisions, and ensure accurate quantity, labor, material, and equipment calculations.
• Manage risk contingency analysis, cost data, gross margin, corporate cash flow, and estimating documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline.
• At least 5 years of applicable preconstruction or construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction markets, estimating strategies, cost control, purchasing, and work scheduling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, accuracy under pressure, and ability to mentor estimating teams.
• Valid, independent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy, related energy projects, or energy parks.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid.
