Salary: $95,000 – $139,700

What you will do

• Lead forecasting, reporting, and amortization modeling for capitalized software investments.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Accounting leaders to assess project scope and capitalization eligibility.
• Own financial processes and controls for software capitalization and ensure audit readiness.
• Execute key month-end and quarter-end activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Develop scalable financial models and dashboards to improve forecast accuracy and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and scale finance operations as the portfolio evolves.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance business partnership.
• Proven experience with software capitalization, capitalized labor, and project accounting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be located in Canada for onboarding and verification.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, technology, or product development environments.
• Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and amortization timing.
• Proficiency with ERP and visualization tools like SAP, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or Power BI.
• Experience utilizing AI to enable process improvements and standardize reporting.
