Revenue Accounting Manager

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $109K–$147K plus equity

Infrastructure software company building a platform for developing, deploying, scaling, and observing voice AI agents in production.

What you will do

• Own the full Order to Cash cycle, including contract review, revenue recognition, billing, collections, and dispute resolution.
• Author revenue accounting policies covering brokered inference, expiring credits, performance obligations, minimum commitments, overages, and contract modifications under ASC 606.
• Lead the monthly revenue close, including recognition, deferred revenue rollforwards, contract assets and liabilities, and flux analysis.
• Manage the revenue portion of the external audit, from the PBC list through technical accounting positions.
• Replace manual revenue entries with automated billing-to-revenue reconciliation, exception management, and root-cause tracking.
• Own commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340-40 and review non-standard deal structures before signing.

Requirements

• Licensed CPA with Big Four or comparable technical accounting experience and industry experience in a high-growth startup.
• Demonstrable experience with ASC 606 and usage-based or consumption revenue.
• Experience writing clear technical accounting memos based on facts, guidance, analysis, and conclusions.
• Hands-on ownership of a monthly revenue close and experience closing revenue through at least one external audit.
• Ability to act as the technical authority independently, without a supporting bench.
• Comfort with GAAP guidance implementation and practical revenue accounting decisions.

Nice to have

• Billing system implementation or migration experience with Metronome, Stripe, or Zuora.
• Pre-IPO or first-audit experience.
• SQL skills for validating recognition schedules against raw usage data.
