Revenue Accountant (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA; three full days per week in the San Francisco office. Remaining days are remote, with availability during agreed working hours and sufficient time-zone overlap required.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end invoicing, billing schedules, accounts receivable aging, collections documentation, and payment follow-up.
• Lead collections, resolve disputes, negotiate payment plans, and handle customer billing and payment inquiries.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal on contract setup, billing accuracy, and customer onboarding.
• Support ASC 606 revenue recognition, especially consumption-based revenue recognition, along with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation and respond to auditor requests for the company’s first-year financial audit.
• Improve and automate billing, collections, cash application, finance systems, reporting, policies, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting in a SaaS or technology company.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition concepts.
• Experience with ERP and revenue automation tools such as NetSuite, Stripe, HubiFi, or Zuora.
• Experience with AI, cloud infrastructure, consumption-based pricing, usage-based billing, accounting process improvement, or automation.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong accuracy and timeliness.
