Software Engineer I - LLM Observability

Location: Remote - Canada

Base salary: $218,891–$245,946 CAD per year

What you will do

• Deliver AI observability capabilities end to end, from data ingestion to in-product visualizations.
• Contribute to the data model and infrastructure used to observe AI agents and their ecosystems.
• Build systems that surface AI-specific signals, including cost, token usage, errors, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to create usable workflows and customer-facing features.
• Explore and communicate ways to understand and debug AI system behavior across conversations and workloads.
• Iterate through fast feedback loops, experimentation, and production customer feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping customer-facing features at a SaaS company.
• Full-stack proficiency with backend development in Go and/or Python and frontend development in TypeScript and React.
• Experience collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Regular hands-on use of AI tools in engineering work.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation; participation begins after approximately 90 days.

Nice to have

• Experience building LLM- or agent-powered features in production.
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry.
