Senior Software Engineer II - LLM Observability

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $183,340–$206,000 USD per year, based on level of experience

What you will do

• Own end-to-end development of AI observability capabilities, from ingestion through in-product visualizations.
• Architect and evolve data models and infrastructure for observing AI agents and their ecosystems.
• Build systems that surface AI-specific signals, including cost, token usage, errors, and anomalies.
• Develop customer-facing workflows for exploring conversations and debugging AI systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver usable features through experimentation and fast feedback loops.
• Teach best practices for understanding AI system behavior across conversations and workloads.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience with a record of shipping and owning features end to end.
• Experience delivering customer-facing features at a SaaS company.
• Full-stack proficiency with backend development in Go and/or Python and frontend development in TypeScript and React.
• Experience working closely with product managers and designers, navigating ambiguity, and adapting to changing requirements.
• Regular hands-on use of AI tools in engineering work and experience participating in an on-call rotation.
• Must be located in the United States and already have authorization to work; visa transfers and sponsorship are not currently supported.

Nice to have

• Experience building LLM- or agent-powered features in production.
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry.
