Legal Counsel - UK Legal Counsel - UK (SaaS)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid setup with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Act as the main legal contact for the UK and US sales teams within the Paris-based legal function.
• Review and negotiate a high volume of SaaS and other commercial agreements.
• Provide practical counsel on commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, data protection, product compliance, logistics, and operational workflows.
• Support the scaling and integration of UK businesses, including implementation of legal processes and contract standardisation.
• Monitor the UK regulatory landscape and support AI and digital strategy implementation.
• Coordinate local external counsel and service providers, and support dispute assessments and legal correspondence.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience in technology-related legal matters, including AI, data, internet, SaaS, and commercial law.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Ability to independently lead commercial workstreams, prioritise high-volume requests, and make pragmatic decisions in a fast-changing environment.
• Collaborative approach to working with sales, product, delivery, leadership, and other non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to use AI technologies to improve legal team processes and efficiency.

Nice to have

• Good or fluent French.
• Experience with the AI Act, Data Act, or DORA.
• Knowledge of cross-border commercial matters.
• Experience supporting the expansion and scaling of international businesses.
