Technical Designer, Women's Fitness

Salary: $93,400–$120,120 per year; bonus eligible

What you will do

• Manage specifications, patterns, and grades from initial setup through production, including prototypes, pre-production samples, size sets, and top-of-production samples.
• Prepare for and lead fit sessions by measuring garments, identifying fit issues, and maintaining fit, construction, and block standards.
• Review and correct patterns, collaborate on new pattern creation, and support grading projects.
• Communicate fit and construction comments to overseas vendors and internal design, development, merchandising, and production teams.
• Improve fit and quality using customer comments, sales feedback, competitor insights, and knowledge of fabric behavior.
• Manage deadlines, communicate development challenges, and provide product fit details for catalog and website use.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical design role.
• Degree in technical design, patternmaking, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with women's fitness and bodywear categories, garment grading, pattern correction, and construction standards.
• Experience communicating with overseas vendors and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Illustrator.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of computer patternmaking software such as Gerber, 3D V-Stitcher, or Browzwear.
• Knowledge of PLM systems.
