Associate Apparel Designer

Location: Hybrid role based in Carlsbad, California, United States, with in-office attendance expected four days per week at the headquarters.

Salary: $67,750–$99,737 annually.

What you will do

• Support the women's outdoor lifestyle apparel design team across lifestyle technical apparel, coverups, and sweaters.
• Create, maintain, and provide accurate technical apparel illustrations and construction details for complex products.
• Maintain seasonal line sheet accuracy, including style, color, and supply updates.
• Enter fabric and trim color information into the PLM bill of materials while maintaining brand standards.
• Attend style reviews and fit sessions, update sketches based on feedback, and prepare materials for line reviews, sales meetings, presentations, and design kickoff week.
• Support design research and projects while meeting seasonal calendars, project milestones, and development timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience in apparel design, textiles, manufacturing, graphics, or a related field.
• Typically 1–3 years of apparel design experience; outdoor industry or apparel category experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction methods, and the design process from concept through pre-production.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Portfolio link or design work examples are required with the application.
