Senior Designer, Men's - Nordstrom Made (Apparel)

Location: Hybrid role based at hirify.global's downtown Seattle headquarters, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week.

Salary: $110,500–$183,000 annual.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of multiple men's apparel categories from concept, sketches, and fabric selection through final production samples.
• Research seasonal silhouettes, colors, premium materials, traditional textiles, and fabric innovations, translating findings into commercially viable design direction.
• Develop and source fabrics, yarns, trims, hardware, and construction techniques with Production and Sourcing partners.
• Lead fittings and maintain accurate design cards and tech packs while ensuring strong construction, drape, tailoring, fit, and finish.
• Partner with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to protect product integrity and maximize gross margin.
• Manage, mentor, and coach assistant- and designer-level direct reports while presenting seasonal concepts through boards, CAD artwork, and illustrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive apparel design experience.
• Experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports on a design team.
• Deep expertise in garment construction, sketching, fabric, silhouette, and detail, fit, and finish development.
• Strong organizational, analytical, presentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.

• Experience in outerwear, tailoring, or structured wovens.
• Tailoring experience.
