Head of Solutions Engineering (Blockchain)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $172,000–$258,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the Solutions Engineering program, including engagement models, partner tiering, escalation paths, SLAs, documentation, and feedback loops.
• Build, manage, mentor, and grow a team of Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers, including certified external collaborators.
• Lead enterprise partner engagements from technical discovery and solution design through production launch and ongoing support.
• Provide senior technical escalation support and hands-on architectural guidance for complex or non-standard integrations.
• Set technical quality standards for secure, scalable, maintainable, and future-proof integrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify partner needs, tooling gaps, and roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading customer-facing engineering or solutions teams, ideally in blockchain, fintech, or financial infrastructure.
• Strong technical background in system architecture, integration design, and evaluating system-level trade-offs.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams such as Solutions Architects, Forward-Deployed Engineers, or Partner Engineers.
• Experience working directly with enterprise or institutional partners and senior technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect partner needs, technical constraints, and internal priorities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for partner engagements and take ownership of program outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain systems, distributed ledgers, or financial market infrastructure.
• Experience with forward-deployed or embedded engineering models.
• Experience designing or operating certification, training, or partner enablement programs.
• Contributions to open-source or ecosystem-driven platforms.
