Director, Service Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; in-office four days per week

What you will do

• Lead Tier 2 infrastructure and platform operations across AWS, Central Data Acquisition Systems, databases, Linux, firmware, servers, networking, and customer-facing edge environments.
• Direct network architecture, firewalls, Zero Trust Architecture, VPC routing, VPN connectivity, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and security operations.
• Lead global rollouts for operating system, platform, and firmware updates, including site onboarding, decommissioning, deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and production validation.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, operational scripting, monitoring architecture, capacity planning, and automation initiatives.
• Own ITIL-aligned change, configuration, asset, continuity, availability, incident, and problem management practices, including CMDB governance and disaster recovery drills.
• Serve as the Tier 2 escalation authority for RMDC operations and collaborate with field service engineering, product engineering, security compliance teams, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10–12 years of progressively responsible experience in infrastructure, cloud operations, cybersecurity, or related technical fields, including at least five years in technical leadership or management.
• Advanced experience with AWS, enterprise networking, firewalls, Zero Trust, VPNs, Linux, Infrastructure-as-Code, IAM, vulnerability management, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL service management, CMDB governance, capacity and continuity planning, incident response, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing third-party providers, and operating geographically distributed, high-availability environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or ITIL.
• Experience in energy, utilities, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, industrial automation, or other mission-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with ICS, SCADA, industrial IoT, IT/OT environments, and distributed industrial asset cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and critical infrastructure security requirements.
