Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA; hybrid work. U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. national security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, are required.

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities for major U.S. Navy cybersecurity programs.
• Address network security, boundary protection, cybersecurity, cyber analytics, threat analytics, and virtualization of cyber capabilities.
• Coordinate critical engineering efforts across distributed performers and facilitate completion of derived requirements against milestones.
• Apply Navy shore, afloat, and expeditionary network architectures and installation processes.
• Plan, complete, and present national security and cybersecurity assessments, analyses, studies, and procedures.
• Conduct technical reviews and manage risk, requirements traceability, engineering changes, and configuration management across Navy program solutions.

Requirements

• Active U.S. national security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• U.S. citizenship required for national security eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in software, systems, computer, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with systems engineering for network security, cybersecurity, cyber analytics, or threat analytics.
• Familiarity with Navy shore, afloat, and expeditionary network architectures and deployment requirements.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required; experience with Security Classification Guides, SETRs, RTMs, CMPro, and configuration management is expected.

Nice to have

• CompTIA CASP, CISM, or CISSP certification, including CISSP Associate status.
