AP AR Specialist II (Intermodal Transportation)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the Chicago office, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Salary: $19.09-$23.27 per hour.

What you will do

• Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies using customer requirements, carrier rate agreements, contracts, and hirify.global guidelines.
• Create shipments for non-managed freight and configure customer and vendor locations in the transportation management system.
• Communicate with Operations, Carrier Pricing, Procurement, Helpdesk, carriers, and customer or receiver facilities to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain customer business rules, policies, procedures, and billing-related records.
• Use JIRA to file issue tickets and investigate process problems in Oracle and TMS financial systems.
• Apply customer receipts to invoices, update carrier aging reports, respond to carrier inquiries, and prepare KPI reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Ability to work a full-time hourly schedule and attend the Chicago office at least 3 days per week.
• Strong professional, effective, prompt, and courteous communication skills.
• Ability to analyze invoice discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• U.S.-based employees working more than 30 hours per week are eligible for the stated benefits.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Two years of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience in the transportation industry.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Zendesk experience.
• Knowledge of hirify.global TMS and TMS Financials systems.
