Vendor Admin Lead (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid policy with staff expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $190,000–$230,000 USD

What you will do

• Own vendor master data for the global Finance Operations team, including onboarding, payee records, documentation, tax flags, and service levels.
• Verify bank details, perform independent callbacks, validate international banking formats, and escalate business-email-compromise and payment-fraud risks.
• Maintain vendor structures, consolidate duplicate vendors and bank accounts, manage data-quality reviews, and lead vendor deactivation campaigns.
• Own vendor-master SOX controls, including maker-checker reviews, change-log monitoring, evidence retention, and auditor support.
• Partner with Finance Systems on ERP security roles, migrations, data conversion, process documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Support automation using AI-assisted intake validation, document extraction, bank-format checks, and a vendor self-service portal.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in vendor master or accounts payable operations, including 3+ years of ownership.
• End-to-end vendor-master ownership in an ERP across multiple entities and countries.
• Hands-on experience with bank-detail verification, independent callbacks, payment-fraud prevention, and international bank formats.
• Experience with W-9/W-8 validation, TIN matching, VAT/GST IDs, and 1099 flagging.
• Working knowledge of procure-to-pay controls, segregation of duties, maker-checker processes, change logs, audit evidence, and SOX controls.
• Experience with vendor-data cleanup, consolidation, or ERP migration, plus strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Workday Financials vendor management and experience with Zip, Coupa, or a similar procure-to-pay platform.
• SOX experience at a public company or a company preparing to go public.
• Experience supporting APAC and EMEA vendors in a high-growth, multi-entity organization.
• Experience designing or reviewing ERP security roles with a systems team.
• Comfort using AI tools to automate validation, follow-ups, and reporting.
