Collections Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Remote, United States. The role is home based; relocation is not provided.

Salary: $20.45–$24.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct and interpret plan funding reconciliations across CBAS, Panda, First Dollar, and other pre-tax benefit platforms.
• Identify missed or insufficient funding payments and maintain collections trackers organized by delinquency severity.
• Contact plan sponsors about overdue balances and negotiate manageable payment plans.
• Provide weekly collection updates and collaborate with operations, account management, and leadership teams on recovery strategies.
• Maintain detailed records, document payment expectations, create operating procedures, and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting, collections, or audit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of HSA, FSA, HRA, Commuter, and other health and benefit products.
• Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including managing and analyzing large datasets.
• Strong communication, active listening, customer service, negotiation, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work overtime and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
