Accounts Receivable Collections Analyst

What you will do

• Manage collections for assigned customer accounts through email and phone outreach, prioritizing overdue balances and following up on payment commitments.
• Review account aging, maintain accurate records of customer conversations, payment promises, disputes, and next steps.
• Build relationships with customers’ Accounts Payable teams and serve as a point of contact for collections and payment questions.
• Investigate account balances, invoice and payment discrepancies, reconcile account information, and coordinate resolutions with Credit, Sales, Account Management, Disputes, and Legal.
• Arrange and monitor approved payment schedules, lead biweekly receivables reviews, and report collection risks and required actions to business leaders.
• Use approved AI tools to summarize account histories, analyze aging data, draft follow-ups, and document process improvements while verifying facts and protecting confidential information.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, persistence, initiative, and sound judgment in sensitive customer conversations.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, identify missing information, follow issues through resolution, and manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Hands-on experience using generative AI for research, analysis, or recurring task improvement, with the ability to verify outputs and recognize unreliable results.
• Comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets, including organizing information, identifying inconsistencies, and learning Excel or Google Sheets tools.
• Ability to work from Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in collections, finance, or customer service.
• Experience with NetSuite, Tesorio, or Stripe.
