VP of Finance & Corporate Development (AI)

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United States or Australia, including Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney, and San Francisco.

Base salary: $320,000–$350,000 annually for candidates based in San Francisco and Los Angeles; final offers vary by location, experience, expertise, and scope.

What you will do

• Own long-range financial modeling, annual planning, rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and investment guardrails.
• Lead company-wide FP&A, budgeting, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and cross-functional investment decisions.
• Oversee accounting, controllership, tax, treasury, payroll, and AR/AP while improving controls, compliance, and operational scalability.
• Manage liquidity planning, cash-flow forecasting, capital allocation, and treasury activities.
• Evaluate and execute strategic investments, partnerships, acquisitions, financial diligence, valuation modeling, deal structuring, and integration planning.
• Support board and investor communications, financial systems transformation, AI-first automation, and development of a global finance team of 10+.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including strategic finance or FP&A leadership in high-growth SaaS, consumer internet, or technology companies.
• Deep knowledge of subscription business models or creator economy dynamics and B2C SaaS metrics such as ARR, retention, CAC/LTV, contribution margin, and cohort analysis.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams and partnering with executive and cross-functional leadership.
• Corporate development experience covering financial diligence, valuation modeling, and deal execution; M&A, fundraising, or capital markets experience is beneficial.
• Broad familiarity with accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, AR/AP, long-range planning, capital allocation, and board-level reporting.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, familiarity with FP&A, ERP, and BI systems, strong executive communication, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
