Installation & Commissioning Manager (ICM)

Location: Hybrid (remote/office) in the United States, with locations in Olean or Painted Post, New York, and Houston, Texas. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 25% annually is required.

Base salary: $84,000–$145,000 annually for positions based in New York, plus an annual incentive target of 10%.

What you will do

• Lead installation and commissioning activities for large-scale energy equipment projects.
• Support the Project Manager with client relationships and coordination of project activities from the office.
• Provide site status updates, resolve on-site issues, and coordinate technical field advisors and field service representatives.
• Approve procurement plans, budgets, and purchase orders for the installation and commissioning phase.
• Create and maintain schedules, manage critical paths, and coordinate project site execution plans.
• Evaluate warranty claims and identify process improvements through lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in a similar technical or project management role; candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
• Experience with turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, or other rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of gas turbines, compressors, or associated systems; controls and instrumentation knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership, problem-solving, and pressure-management skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 25% annually.
