Senior Specialist, Technical Evaluations & Proposals (Biopharma)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location: Ohio, USA. Travel up to 10% and non-standard working hours may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$117,500 per year, depending on location, experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer RFIs and RFPs, clarify technical needs, and develop proposal strategies.
• Generate proposals for biologics, sterile drug products, advanced R&D, technology platforms, process and analytical development, and GMP manufacturing.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across global sites to assess technical fit and revise project scopes.
• Work with Sales, Business Management, and Commercial Development to establish profitable pricing and timelines.
• Manage the proposal pipeline, customer expectations, and the process from proposal development through contract signature.
• Support costing, pricing analysis, assigned technical evaluation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of biologics and/or sterile drug product manufacturing and the drug development lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, prioritize proactively, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with MS Word and/or MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa and work authorization sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States, travel up to 10%, and work flexible non-standard hours.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of bio/pharmaceutical R&D or manufacturing experience, preferably in a CDMO.
• 0–3 years of technical evaluation and proposal experience.
• Salesforce CRM experience or prior customer-facing experience.
• Program management, sales, business, or technical experience.
• Experience writing drug product proposals.
