Buyer (Quantum Hardware)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States. The role involves access to export-controlled technical data; U.S. person status or export authorization may need to be verified.

Base salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year, plus equity participation and annual bonus eligibility.

hirify.global develops cryogenic infrastructure for quantum computers, including dilution refrigerators, cryogenic RF wiring, and related systems for quantum computing companies, national laboratories, and research institutions.

What you will do

• Place, manage, negotiate, and update purchase orders for precision-machined, vacuum, cryogenic, electrical, and other engineered components.
• Run RFQs, compare supplier quotes, verify pricing, recommend awards, and support sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Track supplier commitments, expedite critical orders, escalate delivery risks, and develop recovery options for shortages.
• Manage supplier onboarding, nonconformances, returns, replacements, delivery metrics, and performance scorecards.
• Maintain purchasing and inventory data in the ERP/MRP system, including item masters, vendor records, pricing, reports, and planning parameters.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Quality on material requirements, drawing revisions, shortages, and supplier issues.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience as a buyer, purchasing agent, or material planner, preferably in manufacturing or hardware.
• Hands-on experience managing purchase orders in an ERP/MRP system.
• Knowledge of lead times, minimum order quantities, reorder points, PO terms, and material planning fundamentals.
• Strong follow-through, organization, attention to detail, and direct communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for order, shortage, and supplier-performance tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Experience purchasing machined, sheet metal, vacuum, electrical, or other engineered components.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
