Director Product Manager (Identity Threat Detection and Response)

Annual base salary: $254,000–$349,000 USD for specified U.S. locations; additional ranges of $226,000–$311,000 USD and $208,000–$286,000 CAD are listed for applicable locations.

What you will do

• Define the product strategy and roadmap for Okta Identity Security products, including threat detection and response capabilities.
• Lead platform-first product delivery with architecture, engineering, design, scrum teams, and Technical Program Managers.
• Prioritize security investments using customer requirements, product usage data, and business outcomes.
• Engage customers, capture identity-centric threat and access-control use cases, and incorporate beta feedback into product iterations.
• Partner with technical marketing, sales, and product marketing on competitive positioning, go-to-market strategy, pricing, and packaging.
• Support critical customer and field requests, lead quarterly business reviews, and identify new product opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 8+ years of product management experience across enterprise security products or services.
• Experience defining and driving Threat Protection, Threat Intelligence, SaaS Security, and Network Security product suites.
• Experience creating new product offerings, including go-to-market strategy, pricing, product naming, legal contracts, and new product introduction.
• Strong technical background in security architectures, with the ability to influence technical design and investment decisions.
• Strong communication, leadership, executive presence, strategic ownership, candidate interviewing, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a technical or business field.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise security products, cybersecurity frameworks, and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of identity and access management and its relationship to security.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and threat detection standards.
• Experience developing customizable security experiences and managing multi-tenant SaaS security products.
