Manager, Credentialing & Medical Staff Services (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employer sponsorship.

Base salary: $110,000–$125,000 USD annually, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Build and lead centralized credentialing, multi-state licensing, compliance, and medical staff services for more than 200 healthcare professionals.
• Own primary source verification, credentialing, re-credentialing, license renewals, sanctions monitoring, and audit-ready records.
• Lead clinician onboarding and offboarding, coordinating documentation, access, training, readiness dependencies, and target dates.
• Administer FPPE and OPPE workflows, including schedules, reminders, completion tracking, escalation, and documentation.
• Establish authoritative source-of-truth data, standardized workflows, reporting, quality controls, service levels, and operational metrics.
• Partner with Clinical Leadership, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and Information Technology while managing assigned staff, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in healthcare professional credentialing, multi-state licensure, medical staff services, or medical group operations.
• Experience with primary source verification, license renewals, compliance monitoring, audit-ready recordkeeping, and healthcare professional onboarding.
• Experience building or improving credentialing systems, workflows, operational reporting, and source-of-truth records in a complex, multi-state healthcare environment.
• Experience administering FPPE, OPPE, or comparable professional-practice evaluation processes.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, influence, escalation, and operational problem-solving skills.
• Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

• Experience in high-growth healthcare, digital health, telehealth, or multi-site medical groups.
• Experience implementing credentialing platforms, workflow automation, or AI-enabled operational processes.
• Experience managing credentialing staff, shared-service teams, contractors, or external vendors.
• Experience designing centralized medical staff operations or healthcare professional support functions.
