Consulting Manager (CIS)

Location: Remote within Canada or the United States; approximately 50% travel is required. Candidates must hold a valid passport and be legally eligible for international travel, including entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor Application Consultants and project resources across concurrent utility and municipal CIS implementations.
• Oversee delivery methodology, solution architecture, configuration, integrations, data conversion, and post-go-live transitions.
• Lead client workshops, manage executive relationships, identify delivery risks, and resolve escalations.
• Manage project budgets, cost estimates, utilization, milestone health, variance reporting, and Estimate to Complete activities.
• Improve implementation standards, conduct retrospectives, and deliver internal consultant training.
• Adopt AI-assisted tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot for documentation, reporting, test cases, meeting summaries, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional services or consulting experience, ideally with utility or municipal software implementations.
• 4+ years in a senior or managing consultant role, experience across at least four complex CIS implementations or 20+ successful upgrades, or 2+ years of formal people leadership.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects and utility customer-to-cash processes.
• Experience with project P&L, budget forecasting, consultant utilization, contract scope control, and implementation methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, CayStone or SpiraTest, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive client relationship management.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Cayenta CIS or comparable utility and municipal CIS platforms.
• Familiarity with SilverBlaze, MWM, IFS, AMI/MDM, IVR, and print or lockbox integrations.
• Experience using AI assistants and modern productivity platforms to accelerate reporting, planning, and service delivery.
