AI Engineer

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; headquarters-based role with travel to other locations required

Salary: $114,000–$172,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production AI systems, including agents, tools, harnesses, and evaluation pipelines.
• Build advanced optimization, forecasting, computer vision, and anomaly detection capabilities when standard AI solutions are insufficient.
• Create reusable code templates, agent skills, SDKs, APIs, and function-calling patterns for engineering and analytics teams.
• Design and evaluate purpose-built tools, prompts, and custom user interfaces for operations workflows.
• Operate production systems with ownership of reliability, latency, accuracy, monitoring, incident response, and cost.
• Mentor Forward Deployed Engineers and AI Analysts while partnering with Operations Analytics, IT, and Security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including production ownership of AI or ML systems.
• Extensive experience with LLM-based systems, agent frameworks, tool use, evaluations, prompt engineering, and retrieval.
• Strong Python engineering skills and experience with at least one of optimization, forecasting, or computer vision.
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs, or frameworks used by other engineers.
• Ability to work at the Dallas, Texas headquarters and travel to other locations as required.
