Senior Agentic AI Engineer

Location: Washington, DC, US, or remote within the US

Base salary: $160,000–$220,000 annually, based on experience, plus stock options and performance bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Build autonomous workflows in n8n that query Databricks, call LLM services, and validate findings against primary-source legal documents.
• Design self-correcting agent loops that detect hallucinations, dead ends, and infinite reasoning loops.
• Develop systems that reconstruct USPTO examiner search logs, map patent prosecution amendments, and identify estoppel-creating arguments.
• Build detection engines for contradictions between complaint allegations and patent specifications, with exact page and line citations.
• Deploy, monitor, version, and A/B test agentic workflows at production scale.
• Implement error handling and retry logic for external data sources such as USPTO APIs and PACER, collaborating with product, data, and litigation experts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production AI/ML systems rather than research prototypes.
• Strong workflow orchestration experience with n8n, Airflow, Temporal, or similar tools; n8n familiarity is highly valued.
• Strong Python engineering skills and production-quality coding standards.
• Deep understanding of LLM integration, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures.
• Experience treating prompt chains as versioned, tested, and reliable code.
• Must be based in the US for this remote role, or work from Washington, DC.

• Experience with Databricks for data retrieval and processing.
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search systems.
• Experience analyzing legal, medical, or financial documents.
• Experience designing evaluation harnesses for LLM features.
