AI Engineer

Location: US Remote

Salary: $105,000–$147,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and ship AI/ML and LLM-powered features for production systems with guidance from senior engineers.
• Implement and maintain AI/ML and agentic pipelines from data ingestion through model deployment.
• Contribute to prompts, evaluations, retrieval workflows, tool integrations, and AI agent capabilities.
• Prepare data through preprocessing and feature engineering, and validate model and prompt performance.
• Collaborate with distributed, cross-functional engineering teams through code reviews, discussions, and documentation.
• Take ownership of well-scoped tasks and share findings from experiments and research.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on exposure to AI/ML systems and generative AI development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including Python or a similar language.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure, with interest in AWS and AWS GenAI.
• Experience or exposure to agentic AI systems, AI frameworks, orchestration tools, LLM evaluation, and observability.
• Knowledge of RAG pipelines, including chunking strategies, embedding models, and vector databases.
• Experience with APIs, Docker, and containerized deployments, plus exposure to Kubernetes; awareness of AI safety, prompt injection, PII handling, and LLM cost management.

Nice to have

• Day-to-day use of AI-focused coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
• Experience with AWS GenAI capabilities and deeper cloud platform expertise.
