Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering (Auth0)

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; or Washington, DC. Employees living within 50 miles of an Okta office must work from the office 2 days per week; other locations are remote.

Annual OTE: $252,000–$347,000 USD for candidates located in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington. OTE includes base salary and incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 10 Senior and Principal Solutions Engineers specializing in Auth0.
• Define and execute technical sales playbooks for legacy user database migrations, omnichannel authentication, social and passwordless login, bot and fraud mitigation, and high-throughput events.
• Oversee technical validations, proofs of concept, and architectural reviews for high-concurrency consumer and business applications.
• Act as an executive technical sponsor for strategic enterprise opportunities and advise customer leaders across product, security, engineering, and marketing.
• Translate enterprise customer requirements into Auth0 product and platform improvements.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Enablement, HR, and Finance on sales methodology, workforce planning, skills development, and organizational scaling.

Requirements

• Substantial presales or architecture experience in CIAM, developer platforms, or consumer-facing digital identity ecosystems.
• At least 4 years of experience managing and scaling technical presales or solutions engineering teams in enterprise SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, Passkeys/WebAuthn, JWT, API security, token management, and mobile and web SDK integrations.
• Experience with large-scale architecture, including multi-region identity routing, tenant isolation, session management, and GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or HIPAA compliance.
• Experience applying MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar value-based enterprise sales methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of technical presales, solutions architecture, or professional services experience in enterprise security or software development.
• Hands-on full-stack web or mobile development, API design, or AWS, Azure, or GCP experience.
• Experience with the IAM and CIAM competitive landscape.
• Familiarity with WAF, bot management, fraud detection, CDP, and CRM ecosystems.
