Mechanical Engineer II (Mining Automation)

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Design, test, and implement systems and components for mining equipment automation.
• Collaborate with engineers to create new designs and develop technical solutions.
• Conduct engineering evaluations, investigations, calculations, tests, and design reviews.
• Create and present development schedules and project status updates.
• Support compliance with global product design, safety, and engineering standards.
• Improve engineering processes for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in engineering design, machine applications, or the mining industry.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to support engineering evaluations, product safety, and design compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing Lean Engineering principles.
• Experience with Change Management implementation.
• Professional registration or membership in technical committees or societies.
