Mid Mechanical Engineer (Naval Systems)

Salary: $85,000–$88,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical support for mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, and naval architecture activities related to aircraft carrier shipboard systems.
• Support the development, management, and refinement of non-nuclear maintenance and modernization planning for aircraft carrier availabilities.
• Maintain technical requirements, maintenance periodicities, and configuration data for assigned maintenance requirements.
• Collect, manage, and analyze maintenance, risk, and material-condition data for systems and components.
• Assist with lifecycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and selected components.
• Develop, maintain, and report engineering metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Three years of professional engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with data analytics and maintenance or modernization of aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship systems preferred.
• Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance required.
• Must work on-site in Portsmouth, Virginia, USA.
