Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Belton, Missouri, USA; onsite at a fulfillment center. Flexible shifts may include days, nights, and weekends.

What you will do

• Serve as the designated EHS representative for a fulfillment center shift and implement the EHS program under site leadership.
• Train, coach, and assist Team Members in safe work practices and EHS responsibilities.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits, standard-of-work observations, risk assessments, and job hazard or job safety analyses.
• Identify compliance issues, EHS risks, equipment and process hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate incident investigations and maintain accurate EHS metrics, reporting, and required documentation.
• Recommend risk mitigation measures, including ergonomic improvements, and support compliance with federal and state requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in an EHS-related field, a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant field, or six months of safety-related experience within hirify.global.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, judgment, and customer-focus skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an EHS-relevant field.
• Experience leading or coaching a team or participating in a Safety Committee.
• Active First Aid and CPR certificates with emergency response experience.
• Experience with Intelex, Avetta, Asana, Smartsheet, safety management systems, or similar workspace software.
