Safety Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; periodic travel required. The role supports manufacturing facilities and multiple shifts.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day EHS compliance, training, hazard identification, corrective actions, and safe work practices.
• Partner with plant leadership, production supervisors, maintenance teams, and employees to integrate EHS requirements into manufacturing operations.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs, identify production and equipment hazards, and support corrective action implementation.
• Support machine safeguarding, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, process changes, and manufacturing expansions.
• Maintain EHS compliance information in contractor management portals such as Avetta and ISNetWorld and coordinate audit responses.
• Drive safety performance improvement, environmental sustainability, employee engagement, safety recognition, and EHS training initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental engineering, industrial safety, environmental science, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least three years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systems.
• Experience with machine safety, lockout/tagout, hazard identification, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work independently with cross-functional manufacturing and leadership teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting multiple facilities.
• Professional EHS certifications such as ASP, CSP, OHST, CHMM, or related credentials.
