Project Manager (ESC) - Eureka, Antioch, or Maxwell, CA

Location: Headquartered in Eureka, Antioch, or Maxwell, California, United States. The role is hybrid with one office day per week, field visits as needed, and up to 70% travel to project sites during outages and project activities.

Salary: $120,888–$183,840 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the development and implementation of assigned power generation and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams and direct the resolution of project problems.
• Oversee and administer low-risk EPC contracts, including contractor and construction firm performance.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contracts and proposals with consultants, equipment vendors, and construction firms.
• Coordinate technical documentation and represent PG&E before government agencies and other external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and developmental support to Associate Project Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or qualifying directly related experience in lieu of education.
• At least three years of relevant experience; external hires require at least four years of applicable experience, or eight years with qualifying experience in lieu of a four-year degree.
• Experience in electric, gas, power generation operations, engineering, construction management, project scheduling, project controls, finance, accounting, or project management.
• Strong communication, analytical, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and MS Project.
• Ability to work from the listed California locations, attend the office one day per week, and travel up to 70% to field sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP Financials, work management modules, and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of PG&E accounting practices, engineering standards, and construction processes.
• Experience negotiating contracts, resolving contract disputes, and overseeing consultants, suppliers, and construction firms.
