Sr Project Manager - Execution (BESS)

Location: Hybrid in Alpharetta, Georgia, with 2–3 days in the office; approximately 15% travel for project site visits, client meetings, and team meetings. Other location: Houston, Texas.

What you will do

• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Monitor project performance against master schedules and resolve schedule, cost, and execution risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and internal project resources.
• Manage project reporting, documentation, compliance, escalations, claims, and issue resolution.
• Maintain visibility of deliverables and ensure safe, timely, and on-budget project delivery.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale industrial, power, energy, renewable energy, or BESS projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders on projects valued at approximately $100M or more.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing, communication, commercial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools, methodologies, and project controls; Primavera P6 experience is highly desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Battery Energy Storage System knowledge and experience.
• EPC, power plant, or substation project experience.
• PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
