Senior Field Applications Specialist (Diagnostics)

Location: Remote from the United States, covering the Mid-Atlantic region; based in Baltimore, Maryland, with up to 90% flying and/or driving travel

Salary: $40–$46 per hour, plus bonus/incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Prepare customers for and complete validation studies for Chemistry and Immunoassay instrumentation.
• Perform instrument setup, calibration, precision studies, and method comparisons.
• Provide onsite and remote phone support for assay and quality-control questions.
• Train customers on the proper operation of diagnostic instrumentation.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Field Service, Sales, Customer Training, and customer Key Operators.
• Travel frequently across the Mid-Atlantic region, including overnight stays.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of combined experience in laboratory, diagnostic instrumentation, or a related field.
• Advanced understanding of the diagnostics or healthcare industry, with strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory environments.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lb.
• Ability to travel by air and/or vehicle up to 90% of the time, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Medical technology experience and familiarity with Beckman analyzers.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory practices, including quality control, record keeping, and CAP, CLIA, or COLA requirements.
