Field Application Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Home/Remote within the Southeast region of the United States, from Florida through Virginia and Maryland; preference is given to candidates from Florida through Virginia. The role may require approximately 50% travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Work with OEM engineers, manufacturer representatives, distribution partners, and sales managers to implement solutions for existing, next-generation, and cost-reduction programs.
• Attend customer meetings, provide technical design support, and maintain relationships with commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Develop and present design solutions using modeling and simulation, and support customer challenges with hirify.global products and materials.
• Drive customer interactions, prototypes, and initial production builds against stakeholder timelines.
• Create production documentation with critical dimensions and tolerances while accounting for manufacturing constraints.
• Lead multidisciplinary product development programs and coordinate internal activities, priorities, and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• 6–10 years of experience in a similar position, including 3–5 years of component- or subsystem-level design experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in thermal management, EMI management, or microwave absorbers.
• Experience designing and manufacturing electronic devices and systems, including thermal, electromagnetic, mechanical, or electrical design.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or multiphysics tools such as Abaqus, HFSS, Icepak, or COMSOL, plus knowledge of finite element or finite difference numerical modeling.
• Experience with electronics system architecture, customer engagement, technical presentations, cross-functional development, and production transition.
