Director of Product, Payments

Location: New York, New York, United States; other locations include Los Angeles, California, and Seattle, Washington. Office-first model requiring on-site work at least four days per week.

Base salary: $220,000–$275,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for payment processing, subscription billing, and revenue automation and reconciliation.
• Lead payment processor relationships and strategy, including routing and fee structures.
• Define client reporting approaches with Real Estate Partners, including MCP-based and agentic access to data.
• Partner with Engineering on platform priorities, architecture decisions, and integrations.
• Track reconciliation accuracy, billing cycle time, revenue leakage, and other product metrics.
• Communicate roadmap, progress, and risks across Product, Engineering, Finance, and executive leadership; recruit and develop product managers as the organization grows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience owning payments, billing, or financial-systems products.
• Deep understanding of payment processing, routing, reconciliation, PSP relationships, and enterprise or subscription billing.
• Ability to engage with Engineering on system architecture and integration tradeoffs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including client and executive engagement.
• Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and using AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive processes.
• Ability to work on-site at least four days per week in the United States.
