Director ASIC Technical Program Management (ASIC)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. The role is based in the USA and leads a TPM team located across the United States.

Salary: $210,000–$275,000 annually, depending on experience, level, and business need. The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of Technical Program Managers responsible for advanced ASIC programs.
• Oversee cross-functional execution from early planning through tapeout, power-on, validation, qualification, and production release.
• Drive milestone planning, dependency management, execution reviews, decision-making forums, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain transparent program health and status reporting for executive leadership and the PLM organization.
• Partner with external customers and partners as a senior program representative.
• Step in to lead programs directly when needed while establishing scalable execution practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 15+ years of ASIC product development experience in a semiconductor environment.
• Strong understanding of ASIC development flows, with hands-on experience in RTL, DSP, or physical design.
• Experience delivering ASICs in advanced technology nodes.
• Proven ability to lead in a matrixed, high-pressure environment.
• Strong program management and leadership skills, including cross-functional issue resolution and stakeholder alignment.

Nice to have

• Previous experience managing TPMs or leading technical teams.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing technical contributors.
• Multiple ASIC programs delivered from concept through production, combined with strong coaching and communication skills.
