What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby, with secondary contributions in Python and TypeScript.
- Enhance front-end functionality utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Lead architectural and design discussions to ensure long-term system maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborate with Product and QA teams to ship high-quality features via Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and proactive technical guidance.
- Contribute to internal tooling and development best practices to maximize team efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be able to live and work full-time in one of the 40 specified US states or Ontario, Canada.
- Proven track record of shipping large, complex software projects in production.
- Fluency in Ruby and experience with Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience in architectural design and technical decision-mahirify.globalg.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and articulate complex technical trade-offs.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development environments.
