Director, Innovation & Business Transformation (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid work is available up to two days remotely per week, or the role may be performed on-site five days per week.

Base salary: $186,400–$279,600 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Translate Medical Writing Science transformation priorities into a coordinated portfolio of initiatives with defined outcomes, sequencing, resources, decisions, and success measures.
• Lead complex technology-enabled initiatives across clinical regulatory documents, scientific and medical publications, knowledge management, data utilization, and scientific workflows.
• Partner with subject matter experts to redesign workflows and translate business needs into digital, AI, machine learning, analytics, automation, and emerging technology solutions.
• Oversee initiatives through analysis, experimentation, implementation, adoption, and transition to sustained operations.
• Manage dependencies, risks, resource constraints, trade-offs, delivery barriers, and value realization across initiatives.
• Lead organizational readiness, change, adoption, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, engineering, or an equivalent discipline required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, technology-enabled transformation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience building, leading, and developing teams or transformation capabilities in complex matrixed organizations.
• Experience leading business transformation, digital innovation, AI enablement, advanced analytics, process reinvention, or technology-enabled operating model change in a complex, regulated organization.
• Experience with governance, responsible AI, risk management, privacy, security, compliance, human oversight, and organizational readiness.
• Strong strategic judgment, communication, collaboration, influence, and matrix leadership skills.
