Lead Systems Analyst - Investor Research Technology (AI)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid schedule: office-based four days per week with flexibility to work remotely one day per week.

Base salary: USD 90,000–180,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with investors and research analysts to understand research capture, collaboration, knowledge reuse, and decision-making workflows.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI into investment research and help deliver solutions that investors trust and adopt.
• Lead end-to-end analysis, translating investor needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams to assess solution approaches, tradeoffs, and implementation impacts.
• Facilitate alignment between investment professionals and technology teams and support delivery through design reviews, testing, and rollout.
• Improve Agile delivery practices, platform usability, research workflows, and performance based on investor feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within complex technology environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional analysis and coordinating requirements across multiple systems.
• Hands-on experience using AI across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, user story writing, prototyping, testing, and sometimes coding.
• Experience with Agile development, advanced SQL, relational databases, and data analysis.

Nice to have

• Understanding of asset management and investor workflows.
• Experience working with portfolio managers, research analysts, or investment teams.
• Knowledge of holdings, transactions, security master, investment analytics, and performance data.
• Understanding of stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
